Considering that we were unable to return the unit, I continued flushing water via it hoping to lessen the bad taste. Lastly I poured in white vinegar and some water and let it sit all day, and then drained it out and rinsed quite a few times. Accomplishment - water finally tastes fine to drink. The unit seems to be working effectively now, but I am disappointed that a item purchased brand new really should have needed that much function in order to use it for its intended objective.

this item is incredibly great for ONLY brief persons. its extremely brief and yes it did come with 1 inch legs that preserve falling off. i would not advocate this if your 5'3 and more than you have to bend way down. i have had water coolers in the past this is the worst.
