Consumer Critiques
Overall we are happy with the worth of this side-by-side fridge, but there are some drawbacks. PROS: awesome space and solid construction true stainless steel doors that magnets will stick to radiused edges on doors make fridge appear smaller than it in fact is LED light on water/ice dispenser is lovely. CONS: loud water pump no way to lock down roller feet, so fridge tends to roll out of spot water/ice dispenser controller has momentary response delay, which suggests it is far too easy to end up spilling water or ice on the floor replacement water filters particularly expensive and there is no way to bypass the filter with a shunt or cap.
A couple of weeks following the warranty expired so did the refrigerator. It just stopped working. The lights came on when opening the door so I know electricity was still obtaining to it, but it just would not get cold. I had a repairman more than to look at it and he stated it would cost a total of $927 to fix. According to the repairman this is typical with Frigidaire refrigerators (also sold by Sears under the "Sears" brand name). He said they have the worst good quality of any refrigerator he has worked on. I'll by no means buy a Frigidaire once more!
