Buyer Critiques
Soon after reading the mixed evaluations I decided to roll the dice and order this item. I could not find a 16 bottle fridge anyplace close the cost.
The packaging was remarkable, no signs of damage to the box at all (it came from Dallas to San Antonio).
The setup takes minutes. The manage does not come pre-attached but was uncomplicated to install. You can use it without. I do not presently have a use for the keys, but when I have children I think it will come in handy.
I read other reviews about it not getting in a position to shop white wine, which is not correct, wine desires to be stored around 60F to maintain its life. White wine will need to be "served" at a lower temp which is differant. I do not assume its a significant deal stick a bottle of white in the kitchen fridge 30 minutes prior to I get started drinking it.
Only had it a week but so far so great, it is pretty quiet and maintains the temp it is set also.
One particular factor to note when putting the cooler is to make confident you have the correct clearances to maintain airflow (two" on the sides and four" at the back). I suspect this may very well have been a dilemma many people with burned out fans/motors have had. This is not a "built-in" unit.
We're aspiring but very spending budget conscious wine "appreciaters". Been slowly operating our way up from 2buck chuck a great number of years ago to Willamette Valley and even some fascinating Chilean wines. Our ten year old wine cooler lastly had adequate abuse and passed away peacefully a week ago and we decided to replace it with a compact countertop unit that would operate with our 850 square foot apartment. We had been tempted to get one of those incredibly tiny "microwave seeking" 12 bottle coolers but could not bring ourselves to live with a thing that tacky searching. Finally decided on a 16 bottle and after lots of indecisiveness went with this Whynter 16bottler.
Happy to report that my lovely wife, who is the picky 1, was extremely pleased with the style and finish of this unit. It cools down rapidly to the the supposedly ideal 58F and maintains the tempreture well. It really is a couple of bucks pricier than some other people but I'm not complaining. This is operating out awesome for us and would happily recomend it. BTW, Amazon prime is the most effective factor ever.
