Customer Critiques

I tried twice with this order, and Amazon was speedy with the replacement. But each coolers had been destroyed during shipping. Had it survived shipping, the cooler appeared good (though not rugged) and looked like it would serve my purposes (I especially liked the flexible configuration and apparent capacity to hold longer/fatter bottles by standing them up. But there was pretty small cushioning in the packaging. Consequently the door was shattered / torn off the hinge when it arrived in both orders. Guess I'll look for it in a physical store. I wouldn't ordinarily downgrade for a shipping trouble, but unless they alter the packaging (or unless UPS handles the box with extraordinary delicacy), I don't think there is a likelihood yours will arrive intact. I order a lot from Amazon, and this is the 1st time I've run into a trouble like this with a item.

This unit replaces a modest Avanti thermoelectric cooler, which while quiet, frequently blew its electrolytic capacitors. In comparison, this unit is a small bit of an upgrade, getting a far better control panel for the temperature. It is a small noisy, but only to be expected.
