Client Evaluations

I did a bit of analysis just before deciding to obtain the Danby. The cost was proper and evaluations of other tends to make tended to say items like "stopped operating following n months". Also, the thermoelectric technology on numerous of the other tends to make does not seem to be able to maintain items cool if the temperature reaches above 85 or 90, which is really simple to realize in NY during the summer. The Danby has an old tech compressor which is time tested and will need to be reliable for years. The big difficulty is vibration. When it's running the issue vibrates the wine bottles excessively. This is negative for long term evolution of wine. But, if you have bottles for lengthy term this point is way too small to begin with. My lengthy term stuff is in a wine storage facility. The other challenge is the temperature control. Wine shoud be stored at 53-55deg. At the pretty, rather lowest setting (knob turned to just above exactly where it turns off) it varies between 49-53deg, as tested by a Taylor 1458 wireless temp/humidity gauge. A little too low but acceptable for short term, at least it is not too high which will ruin wine faster than anything. Humidity is also diffcult to retain and is also low (30-40%) even with a bowl of water and wet paper towel. These faults make it useless for long term storage of wine (many years), but for short term (months) it need to be fine.

This is not even worth it for a basic collector. There is not a temperature display, but the large challenge right here is that the temperature manage switch offers NO range at all. You could for example set it to highest or lowest settings and get no distinction AT All in actual temperature. Not only that but the temperature is too cold for red wine to be appropriately stored. I hate to be a perfectionist right here but hey, is not that why we decide to buy these things in the first location? I've spoken with other former owners of this hassle of a cooler and heard the identical critique. The preferred element was when I called to tell Danby of the predicament buyer service told me the problem was an isolated predicament they've never had ahead of and that the temperature really should be able to be adjusted.
